CAR RENTAL POLICY
Term & condition:

Hirer’s Requirement
All driver must show a valid
driver’s license at time of rental. Additional surcharge may be imposed for
renters aged 21 – 24. PROACE CAR RENTAL reserves the right to refuse rental of
vehicle if the renter demonstrates inability to handle the rental car or
understand road rules and conditions.

Car Rental Rates
Rates are quoted in Ringgit Malaysia (RM), which cover 24-hours
unlimited mileage usage and are inclusive of maintenance based on fair wear and
tear, insurance except fuel. Rates quoted are subject to change without prior
notice.
24 hours = RM120.00
12 hours = RM70.00
1 hour = RM8.00
One Week = RM 600.00

Extension of Rental
Renter needs to inform owner if renter would like to extend the usage of
the vehicle and if the vehicle has been booked a penalty fee will be imposed on
the renter for loss of client.

Traffic Fines and Parking Fees
During the rental period, any traffic fines and parking fees incurred by
the renter needs to be settled immediately as these are the responsibilities of
the renter including any resulting penalties for late settlement of fines/ fees
charged. The renter agree indemnity the owner (PROACE CAR RENTAL) for any
liabilities arising thereof. An additional administration fee will be charged
to the renter over and above any fines and penalty cost for any violation
arising from renter’s use of vehicle. PROACE CAR RENTAL retains the right to
charge against the said driver’s / renter’s charge if and when payment is due
for traffic fines committed by the renter, upon receiving notification from the
government authorities.
All fines and penalties, traffic summons incurred during the rental
period will be charged back to the renter. In addition, a handling fee of rm50
will be levied on all payable traffic fines. A valet charge of RM30 may be
levied if the vehicle is returned in a very muddy or dirty condition.

Deposit
Renter will be charged RM50.00 as a deposit in addition to the vehicle
rental charges. Renters shall pay deposit together with the rental charges in
cash. All rental deposit will be retained after the rental vehicle is returned.
However if any available traffic or parking fines or summonses the renter needs
to be responsible and settle the fines.
The rental deposit will also be used to set off with cost or repair for
minor damages to the rental vehicle if it is sufficient.
7.
Insurance
Subject to terms specified in the Rental Agreement. Insurance is
included in …….
Loss or damage of tyres, windows, windscreen, accessories and equipment
aside from normal tear and wear are not protected by our car insurance. The
renter agrees to indemnify the owner thereof. The car insurance will only be
valid to authorise drivers of the rented vehicle. In the event that any vehicle
is driven by a third party other than the renter, the renter will be fully
responsible for all the cost of making good any damages caused by the third
party and the renter is not entitled to any benefits of the existing insurance
policy.
8.
Personal accident
The car insurance does not cover the driver or the passengers for the
injury caused due to accident. In the event of any accident, the renter hereby
agrees to fully indemnify the owner for any claims arising therefrom on a
solicitor and client’s basis.
9.
Early return
Should renter confirm certain rental duration and extend the rental,
then hirer will be discharged with respective rate (possibly discounted) for
more usage.
Should renter confirm certain rental duration and return early, then
renter will be charged with respective rates (possibly higher) for lesser
usage.
Also, if renter’s early return falls on Saturday, Sunday or public
holidays, then hirer without prejudice must pay until the next official working
day.
10. Excess rental & Late pick
up
Standard rental is 24 hours per day except for certain Special Discounts
or Special Deals. Excess hours will be charges at RM10 per hour off the
standard rental rate. Excess hour’s charges are calculated differently for
discounted deals.

If the renter’s pick up time is after 5pm then the return time will be
3pm at the end of the rental period, otherwise standard hourly charge shall
apply.
11. Fuel
Excess fuel will not be refunded with other charges due from the
renters.
12. Vehicle condition
Upon return, the car has to be in the same condition as when it was
rented. Failing which the renter will be liable for the cost of restoring the
vehicle to its original condition.
13. Prohibited Odours
All items and goods that discharged unpleasant odours are strictly
forbidden from being carried in the vehicle (eg durian, salted fish, vomit
etc), the renter will be responsible for the charges from rm100.00 and above to
eliminate the odour.
14. Renting Limits
The vehicles are to be used within Malaysia only and it should not be
taken out of Malaysia without the consent of the owner in the writing and
rental termination in any other place apart from our station are not permitted.
In the event that the said vehicle is used outside the renting limits,
the renter will be fully liable for any consequential loss and damage to the
said vehicle.
In the event that rental Is terminated outside of Malaysia, the company
reserves the right to levy a collecting fee which differs in each location.
All vehicles are strictly prohibited from being driven to Thailand and
Singapore.
15. No Show
In the case of a “no Show” of a
renter, the reservation will be cancelled.
Reservation fee for vehicles that are reserved but not rented, if the
reservation was not cancelled by the hirer within 48 hours of the anticipated
arrival.
Cancellations are accepted up to two calendar days before reservation
date. If the reservation is not cancelled, a No show fee of rm50.00 will be
charged to guaranteed reservation. In the case of pick up point outside of
kuala lumpur, charageble delivery fee applies.
16. Peak season booking
Booking done for rentals during peak
season, will require all rental charges to be paid upfront 7days before
the pick up dates or rate increase. If the rental is cancelled the following
cancellation charges will apply:
Within 48 hours before pick up time – Full rental charges will be
forfeited.
Within 2-3 days before the pick up date – 80% off the rental charges
will be forfeited.
Within 4-5 days before the pick up date – 50% OFF THE RENTER CHARGES
WILL BE FORFEITED.
Within 6 days before the pick up date – 30% off the renter charges will
be forfeited.
Within working hours of the confirmation date – 10& off the renters
charges will be forfeited.
17. Reservation
A reservation is confirmation of a vehicle which is reserved at a
particular location, on a specific date, at an agreed upon base rate plus
taxes, surcharges and fees. Taxes, surcharge and fees are subject to change.
Modifications to a reservation could result in a change in rate and other
costs.
18. Rental car responsibility
Advantage holds the renter responsible for the safe return of the rental
vehicle in the same condition as it was rented, except for normal wear and
tear.
A renter may be held responsible for all damages, including loss of use
should the vehicle be damaged in an accident, stolen or vandalised. This is the
case regardless of fault. The renter may also be asked to pay for damages up to
and including the total cost of replacing the vehicle in case of a total wreck
or loss.
